Heating Water with Diesel Heater

I wanted to share a resource I stumbled upon during my research in recirculating shower design.

https://www.bobilvans.co.uk/air-heaters

Bobil Vans sells a heat exchanger kit for diesel heaters that will capture the hot air and use it to heat water. For those without the electrical capacity to run electric hot water heaters, this is a great alternative. It's quite affordable and fairly simple to install. You don't have to use it for recirculating showers, it can be used with standard showers as well.

Although I do have an electric hot water heater, I'll be using the air exchange kit to provide the option to heat water with diesel instead. This redundancy will allow me to choose what resource to consume (electric/diesel) depending on the situation.

Anyway, I'm currently working on my living room. I have one wall finished with wallpaper and I've added a full size Ikea wardrobe/closet. I'm also working on installing venting for the electrical cabinet because it generates quite a bit of heat.

POLL: Do you own a conversion?

I want to know where everyone's at with their own conversions/tiny homes.

Training has begun. So far they love the space and the main reason I built it.

2022 Techno Barbarian Build Order Guide
I suffered so that you don't have to

This guide serves as an outline for what I see as the optimal build order for just about any mobile living platform. The purpose of writing this was to not only to take notes for myself and my next build, but give a jumping off point for people who are doing their own builds and may be overwhelmed or not know where to start.

Following this guide should minimize the pain you experience during your build by having to backtrack, fix mistakes, and also allow you to plan ahead with confidence.

As of Sept 2022 this is the order I would follow on my next build, but this is subject to evolve over time as I receive feedback and continue my own work.
